Q: I am confused by all the different types of beans you sell, are they really all that different and if so how can I learn more about them?

Okay, there can be a certain ‘snob’ quality about coffee, this is something we really want to dispel. In saying that there are definite taste differences between beans grown in different regions. This is the reason we chose to roast and promote them. The differences exist because of a number of reasons at the place they were grown. These include the soil type, weather patterns, time at which the bean was picked (how ripe the bean was), how the bean was processed. The roaster, bringing out favorable tastes in the bean, can accentuate these differences. The best way to learn is to book a time with our master roaster so he can take you through a “cupping” session.
